DESCRIPTION
Incumbent serves as Accounts Receivable Sr. Financial Analyst within Financial Operations --a division of Business & Financial Services (BFS). The Accounts Receivable team is responsible for establishing institutional billing, collections, and revenue recognition best practices. It supports departments throughout the University in the areas of customer maintenance, billing, payment applications, collections, and training. It provides processes and systems to ensure money due to the university is billed, collected, and reconciled promptly with appropriate internal controls over cash receipts.
The Sr. Financial Analyst is responsible for the oversight and compilation of statistical, fiscal and metric data as it relates to Accounts Receivable activities including, but not limited to invoice and adjustment approval, contract and amendment approval, contract exceptions resolution, collections, payment application, Services & Support tickets, Blink content and training, Knowledge Based Articles (KBA) / communications documentation and oversight for all Financial Operations. Provides guidance and instruction to divisional staff and cross-functional partners on all Accounts Receivable related processes. Engages with various campus departments and outside agencies to resolve billing disputes and concerns. Performs a variety of duties and participates in testing and requirement gathering as required by division leadership. Provides subject-matter expertise as a lead for client excellence and resolution on the TalkDesk Helpline.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Thorough knowledge of finance policies, practices, and systems.
Proven ability using spreadsheet and database software for complex financial analysis, fiscal management, and financial reports.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of internal control practices and their impact on protecting University resources
Proven ability to effectively present information verbally and in writing in a clear and concise manner.

Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $59,700 - $124,300 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $28.59 - $59.53
